Collective Nouns: Results!

The poll for groups and sub-groups of riichi players has run for two weeks, and it is time to release them into the collective consciousness!

To summarize, I think it would be a great idea to have a set of collective nouns to use when referring to a gathered group of riichi players as well as a sub-group within it. The riichi hive mind has weighed in (all 23 of you, thank you!) so let’s get to the results.

The clear winner here is “Wash” for a collective group, and “Clutch” for a sub-group. So add these terms to your word-a-day calendars, slide them into conversations with your friends, and expect to see them appear on Riichi Reporter where appropriate!
