IORMC 2019 Team Results

The 2019 International Online Riichi Mahjong Championship (IORMC) has played through the team tournament portion this last weekend.

Team Australia has made a strong presence this year, placing a solid first through (mostly) consistent positive points in the finals. While Team Hong Kong held two of the top three individual scores, poor relative performance by the remainder of the team pulled them into 2nd place. Brazil placed 3rd followed by Vietnam in 4th to round out the final teams.

The IORMC has been organized annually by the Korean Mahjong League since 2012 and draws a growing number of online players from all over the world to Tenhou’s tournament lobby every year.

The 2019 individual tournament will be held November 23rd.
